Kate Middleton seen shopping in Bakers & Larners of Holt
The Prince and Princess of Wales have been spotted shopping at a Norfolk deli as the future Queen continues her cancer treatment.
William and Kate paid a visit to the Bakers & Larners food hall in Holt on Tuesday.
An eyewitness who was in the shop at the time said “it was nice to see the couple shopping together” and noted that William had purchased some chocolate.
Bakers & Larners of Holt is a ninth-generation family-run department store which has served the town and surrounding areas since 1770.
The food hall sells high-end, artisan products and features a chocolate counter where customers can select from a choice of luxury chocolates.
A spokeswoman from Bakers & Larners said: “We are always honoured to be visited by the Royal Family and Tuesday was no different- we look forward to seeing Their Royal Highnesses in Holt again soon.”
On March 22, after weeks of speculation, Kate confirmed in a video message that she was battling cancer and asked for “some time, space and privacy”.
The Royal couple and their children have been staying at their private home Anmer Hall on the Sandringham Estate during Kate’s recovery.
Last month William was seen at a north Norfolk pub with his mother-in-law, Carole Middleton, in a visit a customer described as “low-key”.
Sources have said the princess has “turned a corner” with her treatment over the last month and that she has been seen “out and about more” with her family.
No timeline has been given for when the 42-year-old will return to public duties but one source claimed this week that Kate’s “diary for this year is empty”.
Kensington Palace refused to comment.
