1. NEW: Buckingham Palace has just confirmed that the King and Queen will host the Japanese Emperor and Empress for a State Visit from 25 – 27 June. Prince William will take an important role in the traditional welcome, as he will be the one in charge to greet the Emperor and Empress at their hotel. He will also participate in the welcome ceremony and the following carriage procession. As usual, I presume that William will also be present at the lunch at Buckingham Palace and he will also join the King and the Queen for the state banquet on Tuesday nigth (although this is not confirmed in the operational note).
   Princess Catherine is not expected to take part in the traditional welcome as she continues her cancer treatment.
