Pérez Mora was born on May 27, 1909, in the scenic hamlet of El Cobre, Venezuela, as the ninth child of Eutiquio del Rosario Pérez Mora and Edelmira Mor.a. His adventure into agriculture began at the tender age of 5, when he painstakingly labored alongside his family in harvesting coffee and sugarcane. A young entrepreneur in the making, he cleverly constructed a wooden mill with his brother, changing output on their farm.

Despite the challenges of limited formal education, Pérez Mora’s thirst for knowledge was unquenchable. He seized every opportunity to learn, even after his schoolteacher fell ill just five months into his education. Armed with books from his teacher, he continued his studies independently, a testament to his unwavering determination.

In 1948, Pérez Mora became the sheriff of Caricuena. He mediated land and family issues for a decade while also operating his agricultural business. Aside from his professional life, he was intensely pious, owing his longevity and blessings to his faith in God.

Juan Vicente Pérez Mora’s legacy transcends his extraordinary lifespan; he leaves behind a story of resilience, ingenuity, and unwavering faith, inspiring generations to come.
