King Charles makes early Christmas plans amid concerning health update
King Charles awaits difficult conversations during Balmoral break
King Charles is in full-swing for upcoming festivities as he spends time with his family during his summer break at Balmoral.
The monarch, who is also going through cancer treatment, is making early plans for Christmas despite the holidays being three months away.
While Charles has been showing ‘good signs’ of progress amid his recovery, a palace insider previously told In Touch that the King is “sicker than the palace lets on.”
Moreover, Queen Camilla is concerned that Charles may jeopardise his recover as he is working too hard, a pal told Daily Beast.
However, it appears that Charles is trying to focus on more positive aspects of his break while selecting gifts and urging others to get meaningful ones despite having some tough conversations awaiting him during the Balmoral summit.
“It’s the most wonderful time of the year and it’s time to spread the festivities to every corner of your home with a selection of our great Christmas items,” the monarch’s Highgrove House tells shoppers, via The Sun.
“Serve up Christmas dinner with our beautifully embroidered tea towels and dress the dining table with our exclusive Highgrove Champagne flutes and wine glasses.”
Moreover, it also boasts of its “luxury handmade plastic-free crackers” and “hand forged” expensive set of poker and tongs for open fires.
This comes amid reports that the King will be discussing some key matters, including estranged son Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle’s ‘quasi-royal’ tour to Colombia, a well-placed insider told Express.co.uk.
There is also the matter of his disgraced brother Prince Andrew and his eviction from the Royal Lodge. The King has already cut off his security detail and now it remains to be seen how the matter will be taken forward.
