Amber Alert issued for missing endangered 2-year-old girl in Missouri

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3/KYTV/Gray News) – Police in Missouri are asking the public to help find a missing endangered 2-year-old child.

Police say Arukia Ganis, 2, was last seen at 11:15 a.m. at Wonders of Wildlife with her non-custodial parents, Frank Ganis, 36, and Arisha Caldwell, 33.

All three were seen on camera at 11:22 a.m., leaving Bass Pro Shops with Arukia through an exit facing Campbell Avenue.

According to police, Arukia is in the custody of the state of Missouri.

The Missouri Highway Patrol upgraded the case to an Amber Alert Tuesday evening.

Police say the parents may have left in a silver Mercedes SUV with a Vermont license plate HFL245.

Arukia is approximately 30-40 pounds with dark brown hair, bangs and pigtails. She was also wearing removable leg braces.

Frank Ganis is 190 pounds and 6 feet tall, with brown hair and hazel eyes. Caldwell is 120 pounds and 5 feet 1 inch tall, with blonde hair and green eyes.

Anyone with information relating to the child’s whereabouts or the whereabouts of Caldwell or Frank Ganis should call 911 or make an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 417-869-TIPS (8477) or online at p3tips.com.
