The Italian actress arrived on Wednesday, November 8th to visit the city and screenings of two films in which she starred, Maria Callas: Letters and Memories and Malena.

Zervas emphasized Bellucci’s affable nature, highlighting her sociable and pleasant demeanor during their interaction. He also added that Bellucci liked Thessaloniki and promised to come again.
During her stay, Bellucci resided at a central five-star hotel, enjoying the picturesque sea-view of Thermaikos Gulf from her top-floor room. Her morning routine included a simple breakfast comprised of croissants, honey, and a cake, local media reported. The star warmly greeted her fans outside the hotel by taking photos with them.
Bellucci took part in a press conference held at Port Warehouse No. 1 of Thessaloniki, where she was surrounded by attention and greeted her admirers. Shortly before the beginning, Bellucci took off her black sunglasses that protected her from the sunny weather in Thessaloniki and blew a kiss to the cameras.
During the press conference, the actress noted her great honor and gratitude for playing the role of Maria Callas. She emphasized the significance of public acceptance for her role, since Callas was Greek. Bellucci also noted that both films shown at the festival tell the story of women trying to survive in a man’s world.
