Inside Amanda Holden’s quiet life in Surrey’s most ‘desirable’ village
Amanda Holden is one of the nation’s best-loved TV stars and has a huge mansion in an affluent village in Surrey, which is known for its luxury homes and good schools
Amanda Holden, the shining star on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, might be a familiar glamorous face on screen, but away from the limelight, she cherishes a quiet life in a quaint Surrey village.
The Heart radio presenter, aged 54, has settled down in the charming village of Cobham with her husband Chris Hughes and their daughters Lexi and Hollie, in a magnificent mansion, thought to be worth around £7million, which became their home in December 2023.
Amanda has been candid about how she manages her home life, sharing with The Mirror: “I am house proud, but I’ve got two kids, two dogs and a cat, so it’s a family house.
“Everything is washable and wipeable. It’s so open plan my littlest can cycle her bike around. I don’t have carpets on the ground floor and this is disgusting but I was doing an interview a while ago and my puppy pooed on the floor during the chat. But you don’t worry if you have wooden floors. Two words: wipe clean.”

Cobham, the picturesque village where Amanda resides, features as an enviable living location. In 2019, it earned a spot in The Sunday Times’ “Best Places to Live”.
The Telegraph placed Cobham second on its list of most desirable places to live in Britain, citing the high proportion of managerial professionals and exceptional schooling.
Located roughly 17 miles southwest from the heart of London, Cobham presents ease of travel to the city centre via the A3 and M25, with train service from Cobham and Stoke d’Abernon station reaching London Waterloo in approximately 40 minutes.
