4-year-old boy found unresponsive in pool at suburban Chicago hotel
GLENVIEW, Ill. (CBS) – A 4-year-old boy was hospitalized after being found unresponsive in a pool at a hotel in Glenview Friday night.
In an instant, hotel guests became first responders, springing into action to save the boy. Guests describe the incident as horrible.
“Everyone was just running and panicking,” said Brayden Brubaker.
Around 9:30 p.m., Brayden and Jeff Brubaker were at the pool inside the Renaissance Hotel at 1400 Milwaukee Avenue when suddenly everyone was Frantic.
Police said the boy, named Carter Patterson, died on Tuesday.
The incident happened Friday night at the pool inside the Renaissance Hotel at 1400 Milwaukee Avenue. The boy was pulled from the pool unresponsive, unconscious and not breathing.
The boy was taken to Lutheran General Hospital in serious condition before dying On Tuesday.
